Sustainable agriculture solutions through utilization of plant-based compounds for crop protection and productivity
Our unique position
The Company is an initiative by few leaders in plant metabolites exploitation. The Company signed a Collaboration Agreement with Yeda, the Commercial Arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) (www.weizmann.ac.il ), the lab of Prof. Asaph Aharoni, head of Plant Metabolic engineering and a world leader in plant science.
We are active in establishment and consortia for developing new technology platform for screening, development and understanding of plant metabolites for crop protection and productivity, such as ” Screen Wise” initiative of the Israel innovation authority. We are also participating in “Nitzan" program of the Chief Scientist of Israel Agriculture ministry in cooperation with Volcani center ((http://www.agri.gov.il/en/home/default.aspx)) and WIS.
Our expertise is
In the discovery and development of plant-based compounds for crop protection and productivity.
Our mission is to find breakthrough solutions of innovative compounds and bring them to the agriculture market. It would take us about 3 years to offer first solutions.

The market need
Over $50 Billions are spent each year in crop protection
The conventional chemistry based compounds are facing drastic drop in innovation, increased regulatory pressure and prohibitive cost of development. As a result, new ag-chem compounds introduction dropped to merely 5 compounds/year in the last decade vs. 14 in the previous decade
Bio-based pesticides are recognized as one of the future solutions. They can have shorter TTM, lower development cost and healthier environmental profile. While the total market CAGR is 7%, the bio-based solutions are expected to have CAGR in the range of 15-20%.
Within bio-based solutions, those of plant metabolites origin are the most promising. Plants have over 500,000 compounds, some claim millions. About 70% of plant metabolites are channeled towards protection against diseases and pests as well as mitigating various stress conditions. This vast potential has not been tapped yet due to the higher complexity involved. However, it has the potential to revolutionize the crop health products offerings.
New compound from plant origin are also likely to use new and multiple MOA (Mode of Action) . The markets need new MOA to face resistance.
